- Anti-war protesters hate America.
This is yet another example of political spin put out by the Bush administration. Protesters of the war are in no way, shape, or form against America -- and protesters includes roughly 10 million people who marched on any single day across the globe. We protested this war because history has proven to us that violence is never an effective way of solving our problems. Just look at the movements of Ghandi and MLK. Ghandi was able to free India from British rule, and MLK made great strides for today's blacks so that they may choose any bus seat, or sit in any restaurant they choose. If you want examples of how struggles waged through conflict ended up, look at the breakup of the Soviet Union, the drug wars in Columbia, and Hitler using oppression in the Weimar Republic. The list of examples goes on and on. US demonstrators simply wish for a way to end this conflict without dropping bombs on innocent men, women, and children.
Shayn, you say you believe in Socialist views. If I'm not mistaken, the Nazi's were Socialists, too. Does that mean you're a Nazi?
What the hell kind of a question is that? Of course I'm not a Nazi. And another thing: the Nazis were in no shape or form REAL Socialists. They were more like Fascists, if anything. And we don't like Fascists around here. Hitler governed with bigotry and racism, had imperialistic foreign policies (geopolitik), and infused his nation with dangerous nationalism and praised the armed forces like none other.
If you want an example of a real Socialist country, many of the Western European counties have some part of their government run by a Socialist system. And our neighbor to the north, Canada, is somewhat Socialist as well. Even here in the United States we have socialized police force, utilities, and whatever else every American benefits from without having it distributed by class. Oh, and for you McCarthyists, Russia is not a Socialist country; its a federal republic, like the U.S.
If you hate Bu$h, you must hate America.
If you already haven't been to our home page, "YOU DON'T NEED TO LOVE BU$H TO LOVE AMERICA!" I believe that America is a great country and a leader of a free world. However, Bu$h and his crony Ashcroft have been transforming the U.S into the bully of the free world and have been curtailing our freedoms. This is why I dislike Bu$h to a great extent. I love America, and wish to defend it from Bu$h's greedy, oil-stained hands.
Im convinced that Shayn and his kind are anarchists.
No, to squash any rumors, I have large qualms with anarchy. A lassiez faire economy would be the closest thing to anarchy in my opinion, and look what happened the last time we tried that. *Cough* Enron.
